OHIP provides coverage for eye exams for the following groups of people:
Children Aged 0-19 years old:
One full eye examination every 12 months
Adults Aged 20-64 years old:
One full eye examination every 12 months for persons with certain medical or eye conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataract and eye turns.
Persons with Ontario Works or ODSP are covered for one eye examination every 2 years.
Seniors Aged 65 years and over:
One full eye examination every 12 months
